Ethos:
Most photographers make their money from after sales of prints. I find this abhorrent. Not only does it play on the desires of the client, it is also the part which doesn’t require the photographers expertise!
Some local examples of this are: Ely Photographic Factory unframed paper prints start at £25, and their CD-Rom’s start at £250. Their “Package 3” - consists of 8 printed photo’s the largest of which is 8” x 10” and is £160. Venture: are the worst offenders charging £145 for ONE 7”x5”
All of my prices included a CD Rom - with all of your Hi-Resolution photographs. I can recommend you high quality printing companies that will produce any of the above packages on archive quality paper for a couple of pounds. Also you can email them, publish them to the web / face book etc. at your own discretion. You are paying for my time as a photographer.
I go out of my way to be generous with the packages, they are all inclusive of meetings / travel costs / materials costs, so there are no hidden costs. I want you to enjoy your photographs, and never have to worry about the costs of ordering more and sharing them.
Portraits:
What you get: A morning discussing your preferences, and exactly what you want from the shoot. This is followed by a location or studio shoot. Studio shoots are conducted in a relaxed environment, with a choice of your favourite music and maybe even a cheeky glass of wine! This is followed by a full afternoon processing, to present you with a CD containing typically 150+ copyright-free, high resolution images the very next day. £95
Toddlers:
What you get: A morning discussing your preferences, and exactly what you want from the shoot. This is followed by a location shoot with one or more of your toddlers (same price). This is followed by a full afternoon processing, to present you with a CD containing typically 150 - 200 copyright-free, high resolution images. the very next day. £95
Maternity:
What you get: A morning discussing your requirements and preferences, followed by a studio or a location shoot; either with Mum-to-be, or as a couple. This is followed by half a day processing. Then next day you’ll be presented with a CD containing typically 100 - 150 copyright-free, high resolution images.
I offer this service with utmost professionalism and discretion. The couple can expect a warm, relaxing environment, with a choice of their favourite music - maybe even a cheeky beer for Dad-to-be. £95
Bands:
What you get: A meeting with the whole band to discuss your requirements and preferences, followed by a studio or a location shoot. This is followed by half a day processing. Then next day you’ll be presented with a CD containing typically 250 high resolution images. These can be used for album art, flyers, posters, Myspace, etc. copyright free. £80 (introductory rate)
Weddings:
What you get: I will meet you a around a month before the wedding to discuss your requirements. We will go through images, discussing your preferences; what you like, and what you don’t. You decide which formal group shots you’d like, as well as how you’d like the wedding shot (reportage, documentary, etc.).
I offer a variety of packages:
Silver: The arrival of the Groom and Bride at the ceremony location. The full ceremony, including signing of the register. Incidentals from throughout the day. One full day processing. Copyright-free, High Resolution CD (typically 150-200 images). £425
Gold: The arrival of the Groom and Bride at the ceremony location. The full ceremony, including signing of the register. Arriving at the reception. Speeches. One full day processing. Copyright-free, High Resolution CD (typically 300-400 images) £525
Platinum: The preparation of the bride, and bridal party. The arrival of the Groom and Bride at the ceremony location. The full ceremony, including signing of the register. Arriving at the reception. Speeches. First dance, and incidentals from the reception. One full day processing. Copyright-free, High Resolution CD (typically 400 - 500 + images). As an added bonus to this package I will give you a complimentary DVD with a selection of your best images set to the music from your first / last dance. £625
