25. Thrapston Railway Manor
Every time I see this driving on the A14, I turn to Mrs UrbanX and say “You know if I were on my own I’d be straight in there”
Well I drove past on my own yesterday, and I was straight in there.
I’m not local to the area so don’t have much history to the site, sorry! Although the site stands next to the railway line which closed in 1965, so I’m assuming it had some railway related duty.

Fantastic architecture, although the inevitability of arson was never far away.

Shortly after this visit the buildings were completely demolished, and the site flattened.
