What a year 2012 was! It had it’s highs, and it’s lows, but 2013 is certainly looking to be even better already!
As from today there will be the following major changes: I have just taken down the weddings price list. I am still going to offer a wedding service, but only to trusted friends and colleagues.
This is for a few reasons: It will help protect my anonymity by a further step (yes, I suspect a few of my wedding enquiries last year came from disgruntled building owners / security trying to ascertain my full identity). Secondly it pushes the website more towards exploration than photography, which was always the intention.
To aid this direction more, I have significantly expanded the FAQ section starting with the ‘Gear’ section, as this is what I was getting most queries about. You can find the FAQ section here: http://www.urbanxphotography.co.uk/urbex-faqs

UrbanX is pleased to announce the 500,000th visitor to www.urbanxphotography.co.uk
He is truly grateful for each and every visitor, and can’t quite believe half a million people have come to see photos of derelict buildings! The visitor numbers have been going from strength to strength over the last 4 years, with numbers seriously growing every year. Roughly speaking they can be broken down thus:
2009 Saw around 25,000 Visitors
2010 Saw around 75,000 Visitors
2011 Saw around 150,000 Visitors
2012 Saw around 250,000 Visitors!
New reports are added every 5 days (on the 5th, 10th, 15th etc. of every month) without fail, so do keep checking back, there’s always something new happening.

Car crashes into UrbanX team member!

Unfortunately a key member of the UrbanX team was hospitalised when a car struck the vehicle he was in. Hannah Gooden lost control of her Renault Megane and span over his bonnet, before coming to rest in the central reservation pointing the wrong way.

She claimed to have been hit by the Audi from behind, (despite this photo clearly showing the Audi in front)

The explorer was knocked unconscious in the collision, and suffered a fractured wrist, but was kind enough to give up his place in the only available ambulance to Miss Gooden, and was taxied to A&E. We are pleased to report he is out of hospital, fighting fit, and exploring once again!
