45. Ongar Train Station

Ongar tube station is a former London Underground station in the town of Chipping Ongar, Essex. Until its closure in 1994, it was the easternmost point of the Central line, and from 1961 until closure, it held the distinction of being the London Underground station farthest from Central London.

Onto the first train which was being renovated by the owner.

The old signal box is still in position, and is also undergoing renovation.


I managed to climb into it, even tho it didn’t have a floor yet…

We were just deciding how to make our exit, as our way in was a bit physically demanding, when three security guards came around the corner, and kindly escorted us out the main entrance.


We still managed to bag a few more shots on the way out.
